Finado Pinot Bianco DOC

A Pinot Bianco that shows what alpine altitudes and limestone soil can bring out of this grape variety: fine structure, lively acidity, not an ounce of excess.

Cantina Andrian is located in Überetsch, one of South Tyrol's most renowned wine-growing regions. The grapes for the Finado wine come from Missian, situated at an altitude of 300–500 meters – a cool, wind-exposed belt above the valley floor, where the white dolomite rock breaks through the limestone soil. These soils give the Pinot Blanc its distinctive character: ripening is slower, and the aromas remain precise.

In the glass, the Finado displays aromas of pear, white peach, and a hint of green almond. These are complemented by a spicy, slightly mineral note reminiscent of alpine limestone. The body is lean, the acidity crisp and smooth, and the finish dry with a subtle spiciness – typical of fully fermented Pinot Blancs from this region.

Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. Pairs well with pan-fried Arctic char, asparagus risotto, or mild mountain cheese. Also excellent as an aperitif on its own. Best enjoyed young – the fresh fruit flavors are at their most pronounced.
