Rioja

Rioja is considered Spain's most famous wine region and has always stood for red wines of exceptional elegance and longevity. The heart of the region is the Tempranillo grape, complemented by Garnacha, Graciano, and Mazuelo. The region is divided into three sub-regions: the cool Rioja Alta with fine, structured wines, the Rioja Alavesa with its clay-rich soils and powerful drops, and the warmer Rioja Oriental with full-bodied, fruit-forward characters.

Whether young and fruity or aged for years in oak barrels — the classifications Crianza, Reserva, and Gran Reserva reflect the region's philosophy of maturation and make every sip an experience. At Vinoscout, you will discover over 100 Rioja wines — from everyday entry-level options to rare gems for special occasions.
