Cigales

Cigales

Cigales lies north of Valladolid on the Castilian plateau and is one of Spain's most traditional wine regions. The region is particularly known for its powerful rosé wines – above all Clarete , made from Tempranillo and Garnacha grapes, which impresses with intense aromas of red berries, floral notes, and lively acidity. Unlike light summer rosés, these wines possess real structure and depth.

Cigales impressively combines tradition and modern winemaking and deserves more attention than its fame suggests. At Vinoscout, you'll find a hand-picked selection of three wines from this region that reveal the character of Cigales, from approachable to sophisticated – with prices ranging from around €12 to almost €92.
