The Priorat is one of the most prestigious wine regions in Spain. In the dramatic steep slopes in the hinterland of Catalonia, the characteristic Llicorella slate shapes every drop: the dark soils store heat, force the vines to root deeply, and keep yields to a minimum — with the result of extraordinary concentration. Garnacha and Cariñena, often from ancient vines, result in powerful, mineral red wines of unmistakable character.
