About Bodegas Beronia
Bodegas Beronia –
Rioja wines with depth and aging potential
Bodegas Beronia was founded in 1973 in the Rioja Alta – at a time when the region was just beginning to make a name for itself internationally. Today, the winery is one of the reliable addresses for classically vinified Rioja wines that focus on Tempranillo and complement it with Garnacha, Graciano, and Mazuelo.
The grapes come from their own vineyards as well as from long-standing partner farms in Rioja. In the cellar, Beronia relies on careful hand-harvesting, controlled fermentation, and barrel aging in American and French oak – depending on the style of the line. The result is wines with distinct fruit, well-integrated tannins, and the typical vanilla and spice notes known from classic Riojas.
The range extends from the accessible Crianza with cherry aromas and a soft finish to the more complex Reserva and the Gran Reserva, which matures for several years in the barrel and in the bottle. The latter pairs well with leg of lamb, Ibérico ham, or aged Manchego.
