The maceration with skins and seeds yields those tannin-rich, amber-colored orange wines that are causing a sensation worldwide. Leading grape varieties such as Rkatsiteli and Saperavi represent a distinctive style: complex, tannic, with a depth rarely achieved in European cellars.

Georgia is considered one of the oldest wine regions in the world, and anyone who takes a sip here feels this depth. The wines from the Caucasus are not a copy of Western European styles – they have their own language, shaped by autochthonous grape varieties and a winemaking tradition that is second to none.
Qvevri, Saperavi and more
Particularly exciting is the Qvevri method: wine matures in earthenware amphorae that are buried in the ground – the result is wines with unmistakable texture and depth. Saperavi, the most important red grape variety of Georgia, delivers powerful, dark red wines with real character. Alongside this are white varieties such as Kisi and Khikhvi, which have been cultivated in Georgia for centuries and result in wines with an independent profile.
