Kakheti – wines from the cradle of wine
Kakheti is the heart of Georgian viticulture and is considered one of the oldest wine regions in the world. Here, in eastern Georgia, wines with real character are created: powerful red wines from the Saperavi grape, aromatic white wines from indigenous varieties like Kisi and Rkatsiteli – and the famous Qvevri wines, which are fermented in traditional clay amphorae and give the wine an unmistakable depth and texture.
Tradition meets diversity
The Qvevri method is the trademark of Kakheti: white and red wines mature on the skins, which gives them more structure, tannins, and an amber-colored depth. The result is wines that differ from everything you know from Western Europe – honest, original, and with a long history in the glass. Besides this, classically vinified wines are also produced in Kakheti, which are more accessible and suitable for everyday use.
