Pinot Blanc

Pinot Blanc from Rheinhessen – that often sounds like pleasant, everyday wine. With the Wagner stamp, it's the opposite: a Pinot Blanc with backbone, tension, and genuine character.

The Wagner-Stempel winery is located in Siefersheim, a small village in western Rheinhessen, on volcanic porphyry soil – one of the region's most geologically interesting sites. Daniel Wagner cultivates the steep slopes biodynamically, relying on extended lees aging and gentle fermentation. The result is wines that convey the raw minerality of this soil directly into the glass.

In the glass, the Pinot Blanc displays a clear straw yellow. The nose offers aromas of pastry, a hint of vanilla, and ripe pear. On the palate, the wine truly shines: a firm body with a delicate extract sweetness, invigorating acidity, a touch of peppery spice, and a rising minerality that makes for a long and piquant finish. Not a soft, crowd-pleaser – a wine with character.

Serving suggestion: Best served at 10–12 °C . Pairs well with pike-perch fillet with beurre blanc, vitello tonnato, or aged mountain cheese. Drinking window: now until 2027.
