Vette di San Leonardo IGT Trentino 1.5L Magnum

A Sauvignon Blanc from Trentino that shows what alpine locations can bring out of this grape variety: clear structure, aromatic depth, not a gram of overripeness.

The San Leonardo winery is located in Vallagarina, the southernmost part of Trentino, where the mountains cool the climate and the gravel and clay soils create a vibrant character in the glass. The estate is best known for its eponymous Bordeaux blend — the Vette di San Leonardo is its white wine counterpart: precisely vinified, with the same emphasis on expressing its origin.

Straw yellow in the glass with green reflections. On the nose, white peach, fresh sage, and a hint of green pepper—the typical herbal spiciness of a cool-climate Sauvignon Blanc. Dry on the palate, with lively acidity and a full, polished body that possesses an unusual amount of substance for the variety. The finish is long and slightly mineral.

Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. Pairs well with grilled sea bass with caper butter, goat cheese, asparagus, or light pasta dishes with herb sauces. The magnum bottle (1.5 l) matures more slowly — best enjoyed by 2027.
