Mahogany core, amber rim — the great age of this Tawny blend is immediately visible. Marzipan, sultanas, caramel, and orange peel on the nose; on the palate, vibrant acidity, long finish with vanilla, cedarwood, and cinnamon. Neat, slightly chilled.

Taylors Very Very Old Port in gift pack

A deep mahogany core that fades to a narrow, amber-colored rim — even visually, Taylor's Very Very Old Port reveals what distinguishes it from younger Tawnys: decades of patiently aged complexity in the barrel. Taylor's is one of the great names of the Douro Valley, and this VVOP is the result of carefully selected, very old reserve wines that merge into a harmonious whole through masterful blending.

The nose shows the classic profile of a very old Tawny: marzipan, sultanas, and dried figs, plus caramel, freshly ground coffee, and a hint of apricot. The aromas are intense but finely woven — no single element pushes to the fore. On the palate, it surprises with vibrant acidity that carries the body and a finish that lingers long with vanilla, cedarwood, and cinnamon. For a wine of this age, the freshness is remarkable.

Best served slightly chilled at 12–14 °C. Pairs well with blue cheese like Gorgonzola or Roquefort, walnut desserts, and dark chocolate — or simply neat, after a meal, when the evening has time.
