Stahl refill "Bright side of life" dry
A white wine that shows what Franconian winemakers can do with international grape varieties: fresh, aromatic, and without compromises in drinking pleasure.
Christian Stahl from Auernhofen in the Franconian Tauber Valley works consistently on wines that are accessible without appearing flat. The Nachschlag "Bright Side of Life" stands for exactly that: an uncomplicated everyday wine with genuine character that doesn't want to wait long in the cellar.
Pineapple and ripe melon dominate the nose, accompanied by a fresh citrus note. On the palate, spicy depth is added — green pepper, slightly herbal — which gives the wine a pleasant tension. The acidity is present but integrated, the finish dry and clean.
- Temperature: 10–12 °C
- Food: Grilled chicken, Asian vegetable curry, goat cheese salad, or simply an evening on the terrace

Christian Stahl isn't as bad as his name might suggest. He wants nothing to do with Franconian winemaking folklore – he thinks outside the box. When he took over his parents' winery in Auernhofen, he made a name for himself not only in winemaking but also in marketing. His entry-level "Nachschlag" (Seconds) line demonstrates a perfect balance between enjoyment and craftsmanship. Elegant wines with structure and vibrancy – the result of 1,000 hours of manual labor. In 2018, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) named him "Winemaker of the Year." On 30 hectares in the Tauber Valley, characterized by shell limestone and gypsum copper, wines with minerality and a hint of salinity thrive. Modern, distinctive, Franconian – at the highest level.
