Steel Muscatel dry
A Muscatel that shows what Franconia is capable of: aromatically present, yet dry and straightforward – not a sweet wine, but a wine with character.
Christian Stahl cultivates his vineyards in Auernhofen in the Franconian wine region, focusing on expressive, varietally typical white wines. Muscat is one of the most aromatic grape varieties – Stahl vinifies it dry, thus preserving its freshness without becoming overly pleasing.
In the glass, an intense bouquet of rose petals, fresh nutmeg, and a hint of elderflower unfolds. On the palate, it is juicy, with lively acidity and a slightly spicy, aromatically long finish. Light-bodied, but not a lightweight wine – the aromatics carry it.
Serving suggestion: Well chilled at 8–10 °C. Pairs perfectly with light Asian cuisine – Thai salads, summer rolls, or dishes with lemongrass and fresh herbs. Also excellent as an aperitif, for example with goat cheese or mild soft cheese.
