St. Antony Pinot Blanc

Pinot Blanc from the Rheingau — one that shows what the grape variety can do when soil, site, and craftsmanship come together.

St. Antony cultivates its sites in Nierstein — including the renowned single vineyards Ölberg and Hipping — biodynamically. The winery is one of the most reliable addresses in the Rheingau for precise, terroir-driven white wines. No effects, no over-processing: the wines should let the soil speak, not the cellar technology. The Pinot Blanc is certified organic and is created with minimal intervention in the cellar.

In the glass, it shows ripe pear and yellow apple, complemented by a cool herbal tone — fennel, a hint of sage — and a fine minerality reminiscent of limestone and chalk. The acidity is taut but well-integrated: not a wine that pushes itself forward, but one that seems clearer and more precise with every sip. The body is lean to medium-full, the texture slightly creamy without heaviness. The finish is dry, medium-long, with a slightly salty aftertaste.
