Roner Alpler – Brennerei Roner (Italy, South Tyrol)
The distillery is located on the outskirts of Tramin, nestled in a vineyard, and has carried the family name for more than 50 years. Andreas Roner says: As long as the house bears his family's name, nothing will change regarding the passion and dedication in their work. The Alpler follows an old monastery recipe. Various alpine herbs are processed under the utmost secrecy; the exact composition remains the house's secret. It is the interplay of the herbs that gives the bitter its character. In the glass, it does not come across as a bitter liqueur, but rather as tart, dry, and natural, without additives. You taste spicy, bitter herbal notes that finish clearly and without sweetness. The finish is dry and lingers with herbal spice.

Pairs well with: It is best to serve the Alpler neat and well-chilled after a hearty meal, such as after South Tyrolean speck, mountain cheese, dumplings, or braised roast. On ice with a slice of orange, it seems a bit softer and fresher. With tonic water and a lemon zest, it becomes a tart long drink for a summer evening on the terrace.

Six bottles of Roner Alpler in a value pack give you a price advantage compared to buying them individually. The pack is suitable as a supply for your home bar and for hosting evenings. It is a fitting gift for friends of alpine herbal spirits and is easy to share among friends. Once you have established the Alpler as a permanent part of the evening, you are well-equipped with six bottles.
