Roycello Fiano Salento IGT

A Fiano from Salento in southern Italy, which shows what Puglia can do with white grape varieties: aromatic depth without heaviness, warmth without alcoholic harshness.

Tormaresca belongs to the Antinori group and manages two estates in Apulia – including Tenuta Maìme , from which this single-varietal Fiano originates. The calcareous and well-drained soils of Salento provide the grape variety with exactly what it needs: minerality to counterbalance its Mediterranean ripeness.

In the glass, the Roycello displays aromas of white peach , citrus peel, and jasmine, with a delicate herbal note – typical of Fiano. On the palate, it starts gently, followed by varietal acidity that provides freshness without being harsh. The finish is lingering and slightly salty.

Tormaresca

Founded in 1998 by the Antinori family, the Tormaresca winery is located in the Italian region of Apulia, near the town of San Pietro Vernotico. Tormaresca boasts two vineyards (Tenuta Bocca di Lupo and Masseria Maime), encompassing a total area of 348 hectares. The region is characterized by abundant sunshine and significant temperature variations between day and night. In addition to the vineyards, the estate also owns olive groves and grain fields. The vineyards are characterized by tuff soils, on which red and white grape varieties are cultivated, including Negroamaro, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Anglianico. Three million bottles of wine are produced here annually.
