Riesling Zehnmorgen GG

Riesling Zehnmorgen GG 2024 from Rheinhessen: a Grosses Gewächs that focuses on clarity and tension instead of power.

St. Antony is based in Nierstein, on the Roter Hang. These steep slopes on the Rhine with red Rotliegend soil are among the most well-known vineyards in Rheinhessen. Zehnmorgen is one of the single vineyards from which the winery produces its Grosses Gewächs wines. The wine is certified as organic.

On the nose, floral notes appear alongside ripe pear. On the palate, the Riesling has a medium body, clear acidity, and a distinct minerality that gives it freshness and drive. The style remains taut and precise, without heaviness.

Serve it at 9 to 11 °C in a large white wine glass. It pairs well with fried zander with beurre blanc, sweetbreads, poultry with lemon, or a mature mountain cheese.

Do you know what happens when a steel company decides to make wine? That's the story of St. Antony . Founded in 1920 in a former limestone quarry, the winery has catapulted itself into the absolute top tier of Rheinhessen wines.

Here, everything revolves around the legendary Roter Hang (Red Slope ). Rieslings grow on the red slate soil, and they pack a punch: mineral, smoky, and full of power [citation:3]. Organic and biodynamic farming has been practiced here since 2006 [citation:2]. The wines from the Pettenthal, Orbel, and Hipping vineyards are among the best in Germany.

Let cellar master Dirk Würtz take you on a journey – from the powerful Blaufränkisch to the elegant Riesling. A truly top German winery waiting to be discovered!
