Reserve Bin A Chardonnay
Penfolds is one of the few wineries worldwide that gives its white wines the same importance as its legendary reds. The Reserve Bin A Chardonnay from the Adelaide Hills impressively demonstrates this.
The grapes grow in the cool, high-altitude regions of the Adelaide Hills – a climate that provides a freshness and structure often lacking in Australian Chardonnays. Aging in French oak barrels adds a creamy texture and depth without overpowering the fruit. In the glass, it displays white peach, ripe citrus, and a hint of hazelnut, along with a dense, vibrant acidity and a long, mineral finish.
Drinking window: now until at least 2030, with potential for further cold storage. Serving temperature 10–12 °C. Pairs well with scallops with butter sauce, lobster, grilled turbot, or a mature Gruyère cheese.
