Pinot Noir Niersteiner Paterberg GG

The Paterberg hill lies to the south of Nierstein. With its west and northwest exposure and the fact that it has limestone soils, it occupies a unique position within the otherwise red-soiled Nierstein region. A very strong wind almost always blows across the Paterberg. All perfect conditions, therefore, for Pinot Noir. In the glass, a clear, crisp, and rather cool, delicate aroma of red and a little black berries with hints of cherry, a touch of beetroot, and pepper. Floral nuances and the minerality of the limestone terroir mingle with the juicy, almost canned red fruit. Fine acidity and supple tannins. The finish reveals the effects of aging in oak with aromas of smoke.

St.Antony

VDP Member Estate

Do you know what happens when a steel company decides to make wine? That's the story of St. Antony . Founded in 1920 in a former limestone quarry, the winery has catapulted itself into the absolute top tier of Rheinhessen wines.

Here, everything revolves around the legendary Roter Hang (Red Slope ). Rieslings grow on the red slate soil, and they pack a punch: mineral, smoky, and full of power [citation:3]. Organic and biodynamic farming has been practiced here since 2006 [citation:2]. The wines from the Pettenthal, Orbel, and Hipping vineyards are among the best in Germany.

Let cellar master Dirk Würtz take you on a journey – from the powerful Blaufränkisch to the elegant Riesling. A truly top German winery waiting to be discovered!
