Les Legendes R Pauillac Magnum

Pauillac in the magnum bottle: more aging potential, more depth — and a wine that does not deny the signature of Lafite even in the entry-level segment.

Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) builds the Les Légendes line as a regionally typical distillate of the respective appellation. For Pauillac, this means: Cabernet Sauvignon as the backbone, supplemented by Merlot, 12 months of barrique aging — the classic craft of the Médoc, without the price category of the Grands Crus.

In the glass, it shows dark ruby red. The nose opens with cassis and black plum, underneath a distinct cedarwood tone and a hint of graphite — typical for the gravel soil of Pauillac. On the palate, structured tannins that have gained mellowness through barrel aging, medium length, dry finish with a slight tobacco note.

The magnum bottle slows down maturation: a year of waiting integrates the aromas even further.
Drinking temperature: 17–18 °C, decant at least 30 minutes.
