Lepanto 12 Solera Gran Reserva Brandy de Jerez 36% vol 0.7L

Lepanto 12 Solera Gran Reserva is a Brandy de Jerez made from Palomino Fino grapes, dry-nutty in style and bottled at 36% ABV. It is one of the classic representatives of the region and ties directly into the sherry tradition of Jerez.

Behind Lepanto is González Byass, the house behind the Fino Tío Pepe. The distillate matures using the Solera method for at least twelve years, first in casks that previously contained Tío Pepe Fino, then in Matusalem Oloroso casks. This sequence shapes the character of the brandy.

In the glass, vanilla and dried fruits appear, along with a nutty note that comes from the Oloroso. The body is soft, the finish dry and warm. Lepanto tastes best neat at room temperature in a tulip glass, as a classic digestif after a meal. It also remains harmonious over a large ice cube. It pairs well with dark chocolate, almonds, or a robust Manchego.
