Le Morette Bardolino Chiaretto Classico DOC

A rosé from the heart of Lake Garda: Le Morette's Chiaretto Classico shows why Bardolino has been known for light, easy-drinking wines for centuries.

The Le Morette winery is located directly on the western shore of Lake Garda in the Bardolino Classico region – the historical heart of the DOC, whose gravel and moraine soils impart freshness and minerality to the wines. The blend consists of Corvina (55%), Rondinella (35%), and Molinara (10%) , the classic grape varieties of Veneto, which together also produce Bardolino Rosso and Amarone.

In the glass, the wine shines a clear cherry pink. The nose reveals red currant, pomegranate, and a hint of rose petal . On the palate, it is dry and lively, with a fine acidity and a short, fresh finish. Not a heavyweight – but precise and well-made. The Falstaff Rosé Wine Trophy 2020 awarded 90 points to the 2019 vintage.

Best served between 10 and 12 °C . Pairs well with grilled sea bass, vitello tonnato, antipasti, or a light zucchini risotto. Also a good choice as a simple evening aperitivo.

Valerio Zenato

The Le Morette winery of Valerio Zenato is located on the southern Lake Garda, on the thin strip of land that leads to Lake Frassino. The soil characteristics of the region were formed after the last ice age approx. 10,000 years ago by the glacial movement of the Garda, which is characterized by an increased clay and salt content.

This creates an extraordinary micro-climate that is particularly suitable for grape and olive cultivation. The result is first-class, varietal wines that are among the best from the Lake Garda area.
