JL Wolf Philia Sauvignon Blanc dry

Some wine enthusiasts will surely be familiar with our red wine cuvée Phaia. This wine pays tribute to "Phaia," the mythical wild boar once slain by the hero Theseus. This year, it is joined by Philia – a wonderfully fresh, juicy, single-varietal Sauvignon Blanc. The vines for Philia also grow on the sandy soils of the Palatinate region, which impart their strength and minerality to the wine. After harvesting and vinification, this wine matures for at least nine months in acacia wood barrels. This incredibly dense and hard wood results in a very charming, yet crisp and fresh Sauvignon Blanc. Inspired by "Filia" – daughter, offspring, or child – we ultimately arrived at the name "Philia." This is what the ancient Greeks called friendly love. It is this bond that connects connoisseurs and wine. Aging: Acacia wood barrels (1/3 new; 2/3 used)
