Hugl/Wimmer Zweigelt Classic

Nestled in the idyllic wine country near the Czech border, the Hugl winery is located in the heart of the picturesque Weinviertel region, in the small town of Poysdorf. Only the finest grapes are harvested and processed with extensive experience and expertise. After harvesting, the ripe grapes are destemmed and fermented on the skins. The wine is then aged in large oak barrels. The Zweigelt Classic from the Hugl winery is a complex, ruby-red red wine with aromas of sour cherry and cherry, pleasant tannins, a powerful body, and a long finish.

Hugl/Wimmer

The Hugl winery is one of Austria's young, up-and-coming businesses, which Martin Hugl and his wife Sylvia took over from his father a few years ago. Nestled in the idyllic wine region near the Czech border, the winery is located in the small town of Poysdorf, in the heart of the picturesque Weinviertel. Since 2021, Hugl wines have been entitled to bear the "Sustainable Austria" quality seal. From vineyard work to winemaking and bottling, our entire operation underwent a thorough sustainability review. The certification process assessed the economical use of water, energy, and chemical fertilizers, the efficient use of machinery, fair working conditions, and sustainable business practices.
