Hugl/Wimmer Yellow Muscatel dry

Hugl/Wimmer Yellow Muscatel dry
Yellow Muscat from the Weinviertel region: aromatic, light-footed, with the typical Muscat aroma that rises directly from the glass.
The Hugl/Wimmer winery is located in Poysdorf, a small wine-growing village near the Czech border in northern Lower Austria. The Weinviertel is Austria's largest wine-growing region by area – known for lighter, aromatic white wines with clear fruit and fresh acidity.
On the nose, this Muscat displays the classic varietal profile: Muscat grape, rose petals, and a hint of peach. On the palate, it is delicate, with lively acidity and a pleasant interplay between freshness and the typical varietal spiciness. The finish is short to medium-long, aromatic, and dry.
Serving suggestion: Well chilled at 8–10 °C. Pairs well with Asian dishes featuring lemongrass, goat cheese, or a light summer salad with herbs. Also suitable as a simple aperitif – drink now, no aging potential.

Hugl/Wimmer
The Hugl winery is one of Austria's young, up-and-coming businesses, which Martin Hugl and his wife Sylvia took over from his father a few years ago. Nestled in the idyllic wine region near the Czech border, the winery is located in the small town of Poysdorf, in the heart of the picturesque Weinviertel. Since 2021, Hugl wines have been entitled to bear the "Sustainable Austria" quality seal. From vineyard work to winemaking and bottling, our entire operation underwent a thorough sustainability review. The certification process assessed the economical use of water, energy, and chemical fertilizers, the efficient use of machinery, fair working conditions, and sustainable business practices.
