Grünhäuser Riesling dry QW Mosel 1.5L

The Grünhäuser Riesling dry shows how precise a Mosel Riesling can be when it is shaped by slate. This magnum (1.5 liters) is suitable for a larger table.

Maximin Grünhaus is located on the Ruwer, a side valley of the Mosel, and cultivates historic vineyards, including parts of the Grosse Lagen Herrenberg, Abtsberg, and Bruderberg. The dry estate Riesling, which bears the signature of the estate, is made from grapes from these sites.

In the glass is a clear, light yellow. In the nose, ripe apple, peach, and citrus meet a subtle herbal spice and mineral notes, as are typical for the slate soils of the Ruwer. Dry on the palate, with precise acidity and elegant texture; the balanced fruit keeps the wine taut and fresh.

Recommendation: Serve it at 8 to 10 °C with fried fish, asparagus, poultry, or light Asian dishes. It also works well as an aperitif for a larger group.

Maximin Grünhaus

VDP Member Estate

Maximin Grünhaus is one of the great names in the German wine world – and has been for centuries. The winery in the Ruwer Valley, a quiet side valley of the Moselle, was once owned by the Benedictine monastery of St. Maximin. Today, the von Schubert family cultivates this heritage with dedication and precision.

The three vineyard sites of Abtsberg, Bruderberg, and Herrenberg produce Rieslings that speak for themselves: delicate, mineral, with that unmistakable coolness and elegance that makes the Ruwer region so special. Whether a fresh and fruity Kabinett or a deep Spätlese – here you can taste history in every glass.
