Geyserville Zinfandel

Geyserville Zinfandel
Geyserville has stood for decades for what Zinfandel from Sonoma does best: deep fruit, power, and yet structure. This wine takes no detours.
The Geyserville in northern Sonoma County is one of California's historic growing regions for Zinfandel – with old vines on well-drained soils that give the wine concentration without heaviness. Ridge Vineyards has shaped this site over decades and shown that Zinfandel is more than an everyday red.
In the glass, a rich ruby red with a violet rim. The nose opens with blackberry and black plum, underneath licorice, a hint of mint, and spicy notes of clove and black pepper. On the palate, powerful, with dense berry fruit at the start – well-defined tannins carry the wine without gripping. Long, slightly spicy finish.
- Food: Pulled pork, grilled lamb chops, aged cheddar, or a hearty tomato sauce with pasta
- Temperature: 17–18 °C
