GD Vajra Langhe Rosso
The Langhe Rosso from GD Vajra is the classic entry into Piedmont – approachable, but with real character and without compromises in origin.
GD Vajra has been cultivating vineyards around Barolo since the 1970s, including the renowned Bricco delle Viole vineyard. The Vajra family stands for precise winemaking with respect for the Langhe terroir – the Langhe Rosso is the wine that embodies the estate's philosophy without the long waiting times of a Barolo.
In the glass, it displays a transparent garnet red. The nose offers aromas of blackcurrant, ripe strawberry, and a hint of undergrowth, along with a delicate mineral note reminiscent of wet stone. On the palate, it is juicy and medium-bodied, with a natural sweetness of cherry and stone fruit, lively acidity, and soft, well-integrated tannins. The finish is pleasantly long and fresh.
