GD Vajra Langhe Rosso

The Langhe Rosso from G.D. Vajra is the classic entry into Piedmont – accessible, but with real character and without compromises regarding origin.

G.D. Vajra has been cultivating sites around Barolo since the 1970s, including the renowned Bricco delle Viole site. The Vajra family stands for precise viticulture with respect for the terroir of the Langhe – the Langhe Rosso is the wine that makes the philosophy of the house tangible without the long waiting times of a Barolo.

In the glass, it shows a transparent garnet red. On the nose, currant, ripe strawberry, and a hint of undergrowth – plus a fine mineral note that reminds of wet stone. Juicy and medium-weight on the palate, with a natural sweetness of cherry and stone fruit, lively acidity, and soft, well-integrated tannins. The finish is pleasantly long and fresh.

Vajra

GD Vajra from Piedmont makes wines that don't need to be loud – and that's precisely what makes them special. It all began with a childhood dream: Aldo Vaira spent his weekends in Barolo, far from the city, and fell in love with the land. A passion that changed his life. Today, the Vaira family runs the winery together – parents, children, a true unit. They have been farming organically since 1972. Not as a trend, but because they love and understand their land: it takes time, dedication, and respect. You can taste that in every glass – whether in the elegant Barolo or the fresh Dolcetto. Vajra stands for wines with depth and character that don't overwhelm you, but touch you.
