Red Fury

Red Fury
A cuvée with edges: Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Pinot Noir from Baden, aged for 22 months in barrels — that sounds like contrast, but results in a harmonious whole.
The Schloss Ortenberg winery is one of the traditional businesses in the Ortenau district, one of the warmest wine regions in Germany. The combination of granite and loess soils gives red wines here an earthy basic structure that suits international varieties like Cabernet and Syrah well.
In the glass, the Furore Red shows dark blackberry and black cherry, plus spicy notes of pepper and licorice — typical for the Syrah portion. The Pinot Noir brings a red fruit line (raspberry, wild strawberry) and keeps the tannins in balance. 22 months of barrel aging leave a hint of vanilla and cedar wood on the finish, without masking the fruit core.
- Food: Leg of lamb with herb crust, grilled beef steak, wild boar goulash, or mature mountain cheese
- Temperature: 16–18 °C
