Collection Sauvignon blanc et gris
The Collection Sauvignon Blanc et Gris from the Schloss Ortenberg winery is an exceptional cuvée of Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris – a true rarity in German winemaking. The grapes grow on the mineral-rich granite soils of the Ortenau region in Baden and are gently fermented in stainless steel tanks to fully preserve their freshness and aromatics.
In the glass, it displays a bright, luminous straw yellow. The nose is enticing with lively aromas of gooseberry, passion fruit, and nectarine , accompanied by delicate notes of elderflower and spicy herbs. On the palate, it is fresh, full-bodied, and clearly structured, with crisp acidity, an elegant smoothness, and a long, fruity finish.
With 12.5% alcohol by volume and an ideal serving temperature of 7–9 °C , it pairs well with fish and seafood, light pasta, goat cheese, and Mediterranean summer dishes. A lively, aromatic white wine for immediate enjoyment.
