Red Fury

Red Fury
A cuvée with character: Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Pinot Noir from Baden, matured in barrels for 22 months — that sounds like a contrast, but results in a harmonious whole.
The Schloss Ortenberg winery is one of the most traditional estates in the Ortenau district, one of the warmest wine regions in Germany. The combination of granite and loess soils gives the red wines here an earthy structure that suits international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah well.
In the glass, the Furore Rot displays dark blackberry and black cherry, along with spicy notes of pepper and licorice—typical of the Syrah component. The Pinot Noir contributes a red fruit profile (raspberry, wild strawberry) and keeps the tannins well-balanced. 22 months of barrel aging leave a hint of vanilla and cedar on the finish, without overpowering the core fruit.
