Furia di Calafuria Salento IGT

The Furia di Calafuria Salento IGT from Tormaresca is a rosé wine from the heart of Apulia — made for all those who seek summer joy in a glass without sacrificing character.

Its delicate pink color with hints of peach blossom reveals at first glance what awaits you: an intense, fruit-forward bouquet of apricot, peach, and lychee, refined by delicate floral notes of orange blossom and narcissus. On the palate, it is fresh and juicy, with a vibrant abundance of fruit that culminates in a long, pleasantly dry finish.

  • Origin: Salento, Apulia (Southern Italy)
  • Category: Rosé, Salento IGT
  • Style: fresh, aromatic, fruity
  • Producer: Tormaresca, part of the Antinori family

Furia di Calafuria pairs perfectly with light cuisine: grilled fish, seafood, summer salads, or simply for an evening on the terrace. If anyone could capture the essence of southern Italian life in a bottle, this would be it.

Tormaresca

Founded in 1998 by the Antinori family, the Tormaresca winery is located in the Italian region of Apulia, near the town of San Pietro Vernotico. Tormaresca boasts two vineyards (Tenuta Bocca di Lupo and Masseria Maime), encompassing a total area of 348 hectares. The region is characterized by abundant sunshine and significant temperature variations between day and night. In addition to the vineyards, the estate also owns olive groves and grain fields. The vineyards are characterized by tuff soils, on which red and white grape varieties are cultivated, including Negroamaro, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Anglianico. Three million bottles of wine are produced here annually.
