Enate Gewürztraminer DO

The Enate Gewürztraminer DO combines Spanish warmth with French finesse. At the foot of the Pyrenees, in the prestigious DO Somontano, grow the grapes for this rich white wine. The winery operates according to organic principles and focuses on strong terroir. Responsible for the winemaking is Jesús Artajona, who honed his oenological skills at Château Margaux. His signature is evident in the clear structure and elegance, shaped by meticulous, varietal-specific winemaking in the cellar. As a trademark of the winery, each bottle is adorned with a motif of contemporary Spanish art.

In the glass, the wine reveals its expressive side. The nose is filled with intense aromas of ripe lychee and fresh rose petals. On the palate, it is concentrated and densely structured, yet remains perfectly dry. A fine acidity balances the opulent profile and leads to a long, elegant finish that precisely captures the floral spice of the grape variety.

This Gewürztraminer demands dishes that can stand up to its complex aromas. Serve it with a red Thai curry with coconut milk, strong Munster cheese, or seared scallops with coriander. The ideal serving temperature is 8–10 °C .

Enate

Founded in 1991 in Somontano, Aragon, Bodega Enate has since become one of the most influential names in the Spanish wine scene, now cultivating 500 hectares of vineyards at the foot of the Pyrenees. What sets Enate apart from other bodegas is its deeply ingrained three-pronged identity: quality winemaking, unwavering sustainability, and a profound connection to contemporary art, which is reflected even in the wine labels. Vineyards at an altitude of around 600 meters, sandy loam soils, and a daily temperature range of up to 15°C ensure slow-ripening grapes with pronounced varietal character. The result is wines that prioritize balance and elegance – not a flashy display, but precise craftsmanship from the heart of Aragon.
