Enate Cabernet-Merlot DO - 1.5L Magnum

A classic Spaniard with a French soul – presented here in a generous magnum bottle. This dry Cabernet-Merlot combines Spanish power with an elegance strongly reminiscent of great Bordeaux wines.

Bodega Enate is located in Somontano, a traditional wine region nestled at the foot of the Pyrenees. Here, the winery cultivates its vines according to organic principles. The style of the estate is shaped by Jesús Artajona, one of Spain's most distinguished oenologists. His experience at renowned estates such as Château Margaux is reflected in the character of this wine: terroir-driven, vibrant, and with a clear, French-inspired style. Enate is also known for its deep connection to art – each bottle is adorned with the work of a contemporary Spanish painter.

In the glass, the cuvée is juicy and smooth. The bouquet is dominated by clear aromas of dark blackberries and fresh currants. On the palate, the red wine is structured and harmonious, supported by remarkably soft tannins and a rounded, lingering finish.

As a magnum, this red wine is an excellent centerpiece for large gatherings and festive tables. Serve it at 16 to 18 °C with braised leg of lamb, hearty beef dishes with dark sauce, or a classic cheese board with aged Manchego.

Enate

Founded in 1991 in Somontano, Aragon, Bodega Enate has since become one of the most influential names in the Spanish wine scene, now cultivating 500 hectares of vineyards at the foot of the Pyrenees. What sets Enate apart from other bodegas is its deeply ingrained three-pronged identity: quality winemaking, unwavering sustainability, and a profound connection to contemporary art, which is reflected even in the wine labels. Vineyards at an altitude of around 600 meters, sandy loam soils, and a daily temperature range of up to 15°C ensure slow-ripening grapes with pronounced varietal character. The result is wines that prioritize balance and elegance – not a flashy display, but precise craftsmanship from the heart of Aragon.
