Enate Cabernet-Cabernet DO
At the foot of the Pyrenees, this single-varietal Cabernet Sauvignon unites Spanish terroir with French precision. Bodega Enate is located in the traditional Somontano region and cultivates its vineyards according to organic principles. Jesús Artajona, who honed his craft in Bordeaux – including at Château Margaux – is responsible for the wine's style. This training is evident in the wine's clear, structured character.
Aging in barriques gives this red wine a complex bouquet: ripe cherries and juicy plums mingle with cool notes of eucalyptus, menthol, and freshly ground black pepper. On the palate, it displays a powerful structure. The present tannins are finely integrated and supported by lively acidity. Nuances of dark chocolate, licorice, and subtle toasty notes lead into a long finish characterized by balsamic and mineral nuances.
With its intense structure, this Cabernet demands robust dishes on your plate. It pairs well with braised beef cheeks, grilled rack of lamb with rosemary, or a mature Manchego cheese. For optimal flavor development, serve it at 16 to 18 °C . Decanting it for one to two hours will further enhance its complex spiciness.
