Emil Bauer Chardonnay

Emil Bauer Chardonnay
Emil Bauer's Chardonnay shows what the Palatinate can achieve with this Burgundy grape variety: a white wine with substance that combines freshness and depth.
The Emil Bauer winery is located in Landau-Nußdorf in the Southern Palatinate – a region with a warm climate, calcareous loess soil, and long experience with international grape varieties. The Bauer family is one of the Palatinate's most trusted wineries and produces its wines with a focus on the individual grape varieties.
In the glass, the Chardonnay displays aromas of yellow apple, ripe pear, and a hint of hazelnut. The texture is full-bodied with well-integrated acidity, the finish is lingering and slightly creamy – an indication of contact with oak or lees. Serving temperature: 10–12 °C.
Pairs well with chicken breast in butter sauce, creamy pasta dishes, or a mature Brie. It also makes a great, uncomplicated companion for a no-cook evening. Drinking window: now until 2027.
