Emil Bauer Chardonnay

Emil Bauer Chardonnay
The Chardonnay from Emil Bauer shows what the Palatinate can achieve with this Burgundy grape variety: a white wine with substance that combines freshness and depth.
The Emil Bauer winery is located in Landau-Nußdorf in the Southern Palatinate – a region with a warm climate, calcareous loess soil, and long experience with international grape varieties. The Bauer family is one of the reliable addresses in the Palatinate and works its wines in a variety-oriented manner.
In the glass, the Chardonnay shows aromas of yellow apple, ripe pear, and a hint of hazelnut. The texture is full-bodied with well-integrated acidity, the finish is lingering and slightly creamy – an indication of contact with wood or fine lees. Serving temperature: 10–12 °C.
Pairs well with chicken breast with butter sauce, creamy pasta dishes, or a mature Brie. It also cuts a fine figure as an uncomplicated companion for an evening without cooking.
