Emil Bauer White Burgundy

Emil Bauer White Burgundy
Emil Bauer's white Burgundy from the Palatinate shows what this grape variety can achieve in the right hands: a dry white wine with substance that is neither overloaded nor thin.
The Emil Bauer winery is located in Landau-Nußdorf in the heart of the Palatinate – a region that offers ideal conditions for Pinot Blanc with its loamy-calcareous soils and warm climate. The Bauer family has been working with the terroir of the southern Palatinate for generations and has made a name for itself with meticulously crafted, varietally typical wines.
In the glass, it displays a pale straw yellow color. The nose offers aromas of ripe pear, white peach, and a hint of almond. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with well-integrated acidity, a creamy texture, and a pleasantly long, slightly nutty finish—typical of a white Burgundy from the Palatinate when vinified with care.
Best served at 10–12 °C . Goes well with asparagus with hollandaise sauce, pan-fried pike-perch, mild goat cheese, or a summery herb risotto.
