Shy but awesome

Shy but awesome
The name says it all: "Scheu aber geil" (Shy but Awesome) from Emil Bauer in the Palatinate is a Scheurebe wine that surprises with its aromatic intensity and simultaneous freshness. Scheurebe is considered one of the most expressive German grape varieties—and in the hands of the Bauer family from Kallstadt, it unfolds its full potential.
Emil Bauer is known for uncomplicated, easy-drinking wines from the Palatinate region that don't hide their character behind label seriousness. The Scheurebe grape delivers what it does best: blackcurrant, grapefruit zest, and a hint of gooseberry, accompanied by a lively acidity that keeps the palate alert. The finish is aromatic and long, with a slightly spicy note.
Best served at 8–10 °C . Pairs well with Asian cuisine featuring chili and lemongrass, goat cheese, or a summer salad with mango. It also makes a great aperitif—straightforward, fruity, and straightforward.
