The Indian Wells Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the Columbia Valley in Washington State — one of the driest and sunniest wine regions in North America, where the soils consist of volcanic ash and loess deposits. Château Ste. Michelle is the oldest winery in the state, founded in 1934, and has significantly established the Columbia Valley as a quality region. Indian Wells is a sub-region within the Columbia Valley that is known for its intense heat retention — the grapes ripen slowly and develop a dense, concentrated fruit in the process.

In the glass, the Cabernet Sauvignon shows dark blackberry and black cherry, plus notes of cedar wood and a light pepper spice in the background. The body is full-bodied with well-integrated tannins that provide structure without appearing too grippy. The finish is long and warm, with persistent dark fruit.

Goes well with pan-seared ribeye, braised lamb shoulder, or a spicy chili con carne. Serving temperature: 16–18 °C.
