Stimson Estate Cellars Chardonnay

The grapes for the Stimson Estate Cellars Chardonnay come from selected vineyards in these cooler locations of the Columbia and Yakima Valleys. To preserve the freshness of the grapes, they are harvested in the early morning hours, pressed immediately in the winery, and the musts are very gently clarified during a 24 to 48-hour cold sedimentation. Then the temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks begins, lasting a good two to three weeks. A small part of the wine subsequently undergoes malolactic fermentation and matures for a while on the fine lees before it is blended back and bottled only lightly fined and filtered.

Color: shiny straw yellow with delicately shimmering green highlights

Nose: intense fruit bouquet with juicy notes of apples, pears, and exotic fruits, finely underscored by fragrant floral aromas

Taste: juicy and lively on the palate with a beautiful balance of aromatic fruit, racy fresh acidity, and a delicate hint of toasted oak
