Chateau Ste. Michelle Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley

Dark, dense ruby red with black reflections; ripe blackberry and dried plum aromas, clove, sweet tobacco, and a hint of smoke; reminiscent of a fresh, full red wine barrel; a robust and juicy structure; the fruit of the Cabernet Sauvignon combined with the fine tannins is complemented by beautifully integrated oak aromas. After destemming, the Cabernet Sauvignon fermented for eight days with the addition of selected yeasts. The must was pumped over twice daily, and after gentle pressing, the wine matured for 16 months in 60% French and 40% American oak.
