Carlos I Imperial XO

Carlos I Imperial XO is a Brandy de Jerez Solera Gran Reserva from the Osborne distillery – matured using the Solera method, with distillates aged for up to 20 years in oak casks that previously held the finest sherries. This cask history significantly shapes its character.

In the glass, it displays a deep mahogany color with golden highlights. The nose offers aromas of walnut, fig, and hazelnut, underpinned by spicy oak notes. On the palate, it is silky smooth, with a density that suggests extended aging. The finish is long and balanced – not an abrupt end, but a gradual fading of dried fruit and wood spice.

Neat at room temperature or slightly chilled in a nosing glass. Pairs well with dark chocolate, roasted nuts or a mature Manchego cheese – and is a worthy end to a long evening.

Osborne

Osborne – a Spanish family business, founded in 1772 in Cádiz by Thomas Osborne. For generations, it has been based in El Puerto de Santa Maria, specializing in traditional spirits. Sherry, brandy, and port wines were the cornerstones of its success. Today, you'll also find classic wines like Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, as well as Spanish food and mineral water. Now in its sixth generation, the company has long since gone international: 950 employees, wines sold in over 50 countries. And the bull? The iconic company logo is now a national symbol of Spain – and you'll find it on bottles worldwide.
