Blaufränkisch Reserve

Blaufränkisch is the flagship grape variety of Burgenland — and in the Reserve line from Seegut Lentsch, it shows why. Powerful, structured, with the characteristic grip that this grape variety brings from the Pannonian climate.

Seegut Lentsch is located on Lake Neusiedl, where warm summers and cool autumn nights ensure both ripeness and freshness. The Blaufränkisch Reserve is aged in barriques — this gives the wine its round, supportive structure without overpowering the fruit. On the nose, dark cherry, blackberry, and a hint of clove; on the palate, present but well-integrated tannins, lively acidity, and a long, spicy finish with notes of cedarwood and black pepper.

A red wine for the table: Serve it at 16–18 °C with braised beef, venison goulash, or a hearty lentil stew with smoked meat. If drinking it on its own, it is best to give it half an hour in a decanter.
