Biserno Toscana IGT double magnum

Biserno Toscana IGT in the double magnum is a wine that makes a statement just by its format — and in the glass, it delivers what the size promises. Deep purple red, aromatically complex, with a structure that rewards patience and company in equal measure.

Behind Biserno stands Tenuta di Biserno on the Tuscan coast, near Bolgheri — a region that has shown for decades that Merlot finds extraordinary depth in this soil. The winery works with the ambition and precision one expects from an operation that holds its own in one of Italy's most ambitious wine landscapes.

In the glass, the Merlot shows aromas of sour cherry and dark plum, underscored by rosemary, Mediterranean herbs, and a hint of cocoa on the finish. The tannins are present but finely integrated — the wine has substance without hardness, depth without heaviness.

Serve it at 16–18 °C with braised lamb shoulder, wild boar ragù, or an aged Pecorino. The double magnum is the right choice for a long evening with people who take wine seriously — and still want to enjoy it.

The Estate

Tenuta di Biserno

Tenuta di Biserno – Tuscan Maremma with a view of the sea. Located in Bibbona, the view stretches as far as Corsica. Founded in 2001 by Lodovico and Piero Antinori. Ideal climate, cool breezes from the coast, soils of clay and limestone – perfect conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot.

70 hectares of vineyards, plus small quantities of olive oil and grappa.

Here, Tuscan tradition meets a visionary spirit. Maremma, the way it tastes.
