Il Pino di Biserno Toscana IGT

Il Pino di Biserno Toscana IGT
A Tuscan red wine that shows even at a young age what the terroir of the Maremma can do: dense fruit, silky tannin, and a structure that rewards patience.
Tenuta di Biserno is located in the western tip of Tuscany, near Bibbona on the Tyrrhenian coast. The winery was founded by brothers Lodovico and Piero Antinori – two names that stand for artisanal precision in the Italian wine world. Il Pino di Biserno is the more accessible brother of the great Biserno cru: ready to drink earlier, but with the same demand for quality in the cellar.
Twelve months of barrique aging are clearly evident: blackberry, black cherry, and a hint of cedar wood, underlaid by a light spice from the wood aging. The tannins are ripe and well-integrated, the finish medium-long with a pleasant warmth. James Suckling awarded 93 points, Wine Spectator 91 – both for the 2016 vintage.

Tenuta di Biserno – Tuscan Maremma with a view of the sea. Located in Bibbona, the view extends as far as Corsica. Founded in 2001 by Lodovico and Piero Antinori. Ideal climate, cool breezes from the coast, soils of clay and limestone – perfect conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. 70 hectares of vineyards, plus small quantities of olive oil and grappa. Here, Tuscan tradition meets visionary spirit. Maremma, as it tastes.
