ÀN/2 Magnum

ÀN/2 Magnum
The ÀN/2 is the more accessible brother of the great AN from Ànima Negra — drinkable sooner, but with the same unmistakable character of the Mallorcan island grape variety Callet.
The Ànima Negra winery is located in the southeast of Mallorca, in the municipality of Felanitx. Since the late 1990s, it has brought the almost extinct Callet grape back into focus, showing what the Balearic Islands can achieve in terms of vinification. The ÀN/2 matures for 12 months in barriques — enough to provide structure without masking the fruit.
In the glass, it shows dark cherry, blackberry, and a hint of dried herbs — rosemary, bay leaf — as they grow on the Mallorcan maquis. The palate is dense and fleshy, with soft tannins and a lively acidity that carries the length. The finish remains present with a spicy wood note and red berry fruit.
The magnum bottle slows down the aging process — ideal if you want to store the wine for a few more years. Now until 2028. Serving temperature 16–18 °C. Pairs with leg of lamb with herbs, grilled Ibérico pork, or an aged Manchego.

Ànima Negra – “black soul” – has been the conscience of Mallorcan wine since 1994. Childhood friends Pere Obrador and Miquel Àngel Cerdà founded the estate near Felanitx in the southeast of the island, on a property whose walls date back to the 13th century. Their goal was as simple as it was bold: to produce quality wines exclusively from native grape varieties, above all the then-forgotten Callet grape. With their breakthrough with international critics in 1997, the winery proved that Mallorca is more than just a holiday paradise – it is one of the most distinctive wine regions in the Mediterranean.
