1924 Double Black Bourbon Barrel Aged Cabernet Sauvignon

Delicato Family Wines is one of California's great family wineries, with roots dating back to 1924 – hence the name. The company cultivates vineyards in the Central Valley and Lodi, known for full-bodied red wines with a robust profile.

In the glass, the Double Black displays a deep ruby ​​red color. The nose is dominated by blackcurrant and blackberry, underpinned by caramel, vanilla custard, and a hint of toasted oak – classic hallmarks of bourbon barrel aging. On the palate, it is full-bodied with soft, ripe tannins and a pleasant sweetness in the finish, derived from the barrel aging.

Best served at 17–18 °C. Pairs well with BBQ ribs , a juicy ribeye steak, or pulled pork with smoky sauce – the wine's spiciness harmonizes beautifully with the roasted flavors. It also complements strong cheddar or dark chocolate (70%+). Drink now; no long aging potential is needed.
