Black Stallion Chardonnay

A Californian Chardonnay that shows why Napa Valley and the central growing regions of California have been setting standards for this grape variety for decades: full-bodied, clearly structured, dry.

Delicato Family Wines is one of California's great family-owned wineries. The Delicato family has been cultivating wine since the 1920s and today manages vineyards in several California appellations—from the San Joaquin Valley to the North Coast. Black Stallion is the winery's premium line, named after the horse racing track of the same name that once stood on the Napa estate.

In the glass, this Chardonnay displays aromas of yellow apple, white peach, and a hint of butterscotch. The body is rounded with a soft acidity and a pleasantly long, slightly creamy finish. Typical of the style: ripe fruit characteristics, a result of California's warm days and cool nights.

Pairs well with chicken breast with lemon butter, pasta in cream sauce, or mild goat cheese. Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. Best enjoyed young, within the next two to three years.
