Daylight caressed the hills, illuminating the silhouette of a castle, the steep roofs of the small, dark houses, the white paths, and the fertile farmland, while a gentle breeze rustled across the still sky. The landscape, the faint scent of must reaching his nose, and the tranquility he felt told him to make this his home. And so it was that from that day forward, the local people called him Count of Campiano...

Conte di Campiano originates in Val Tramigna , a hilly valley in eastern Veneto, stretching between Soave and the Colli Berici.
